Learning is older than man - in fact, it has produced him. SERC explores the learning of the future - and what it will produce.
Education is the elephant in the room: everyone knows that education systems need to be changed for the future, but nobody talks about it and nothing happens. That is why TVLT has founded the SERC think tank. Our SMART EDUCATION RESEARCH CENTER is to research the future of education and didactics and to develop suitable and attractive solutions. This is not only exhausted in innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence as well as augmented or virtual reality, but also leads to new forms such as hybrid solutions combining human intelligence with technology. SERC is therefore a think tank that combines high tech with science and educational content. This brings us back to the valiant little tailor who defeats the giant not with strength but with intellect and good ideas - precisely with the advantage of a mobile mind that looks deeper and is not trapped in the rational limits of the external world.
Edutech
Interactive whiteboards, projectors and computers for schools - such advances of the educational system into the digital world were yesterday. Tomorrow's education will take place in the field of artificial intelligence and quantum computers. SERC will research the effects and challenges this will bring with it and how international education systems will have to react to it and develop pragmatic solutions.
Entertainment
Gaming, e-sports and entertainment can become elementary components in the education of the future. The playful transfer of semantic knowledge is one of the great opportunities in the education sector. SERC will develop and test product possibilities with education experts, game developers, gamers and scientists.
Research Groups
